MY APPROACH
Direct
I always want to make sure you’re focused on the right problem, and my goal is to ensure we get to that as quickly as possible. Too often organizations spin their wheels and aren’t able to achieve meaningful change and results because the real issue might seem difficult to address or leaders and staff try to avoid conflict. My approach is compassionate, supportive, direct and working with me means you want to tackle the issues preventing your organization from creating a thriving work culture, better communication and retaining the talent you worked so hard to hire.
Holistic and Systemic
Your staff have families, homes, dreams, illnesses, children, worries and daily struggles just like you. This is what leaders and employees bring to work everyday that impacts how they interact with each other and execute on the mission, goals and vision of the organization. Any problem solving or strategy I offer will be discussed with this in mind. I co-create strategies with you that support people in multiple ways to do their best work. That might mean for example, using breathing and meditation techniques during an executive coaching session, reconfiguring teams based on limited capacity or changing communication policies within the organization.
Leadership Focused
I work with CEOs, founders, senior teams and other leaders in an organization. I help you figure out better ways to lead your team and create systems and strategies to help employees thrive. While I do assessments that involve interviewing individuals throughout the organization and offer workshops, these conversations are facilitated with the intention of helping leaders create better strategies. I do not implement strategies or work with non-leadership staff directly.
Relational
Relationships are the bedrock of any organization. I focus on tone, climate and culture because these are the intangible factors that matter to people at work.The tone in an email, how a message is communicated by leadership or how someone speaks to you impacts the work environment for everyone. I work with leaders to uncover these communication challenges so they can be addressed in systematic ways.
Practice and consistency in small things create big, long-term results
I don’t believe in making big, grandiose plans and churning out reports with lots of information and data that you will forget in a year’s time. We focus on small, transformative and consistent changes that you implement and practice over time. Once those changes are embedded into the organizational culture, then you add more. This creates big, long-term and sustainable change.
